We slept in the basement last night. We overslept this morning in large part because it's still pitch dark down here. So, we're getting ready now to head over to the District.
The first thing we need to do is get our Inauguration tickets from our Representative, Adam Putnam, at the Cannon House Office Building. After that, some sightseeing. We don't have any specific plans yet. I want to go to the Supreme Court building - which is near the Cannon building. Please leave us a comment if you have any suggestions for museums and monuments we should visit.
Karen and I feel privileged to able to be here and we're pleased we can share the trip with you.

Good morning - glad to hear you arrived safely...nice cab! I'm not sure if the US Mint is open today due to MLK Day, but it is fascinating to see...if you can go up the Washington Monument - the bird's eye view of the capital is fantastic. Stay warm!
